 CHALLENGE

  • The 1st weigh in will be the 1st day of the challenge. After your 1st weigh in, the challenge will be for 9 consecutive weeks. The first day of the challenge will be Monday or Tuesday January 2nd or 3rd, 2012.  You will need to weigh in on one of these days to BEGIN the challenge!  The last weigh in will be the Monday or Tuesday after your 9 weeks are completed. GOOD LUCK!

 

  • The dates for the weigh ins are the following:
    • January 2nd or 3rd
    • January 9th or 10th
    • January 16th or 17th
    • January 23rd or 24th
    • January 30th or 31st
    • February 6th or 7th
    • February 13th or 14th
    • February 20th or 21st
    • FINAL WEIGH IN February 27th or 28th

 

  • Weigh ins are EVERY Monday or Tuesday, anytime between the hours of 6am and 8pm.
  • Weight loss/gain will be determined by percent, and not by pounds.
  • Weight loss/gain will be posted in the tanning booth area of the gym, though actual weight in pounds will remain confidential.
  • There is no fee for this competition, though you must have, and keep throughout the competition, an active gym membership.
  • Along with a weigh in, competitors may have their arms, waist, thighs, and chest measured before & after the competition. This will not be used in the final judging of the winner, though competitors will be able to see their progress.
  • If all weigh ins are completed, the competitor will receive a free one month membership to be used by only them at Powerhouse Gym!!!
  • All members of the challenge will be entitled to a “free pass” that be can be used to excuse themselves from a weigh in. This can only be used one time, and you will not be eligible to win a weekly prize after your next weigh in.
  • If you miss two or more weigh ins, you will be disqualified from the challenge. You may still weigh in every week (which we strongly encourage!), though you will not be eligible for the prizes.
  • During the weigh ins, socks or shoes must be worn, along with appropriate clothing for the weigh in.
  • Weekly biggest losers will receive a prize!

 

The staff at Powerhouse Gym encourages a healthy approach to weight loss during this challenge. Unhealthy habits that could jeopardize your health will not be supported or tolerated. If you have any questions on weight loss strategies, or need some helpful hints, please seek the the gym trainers.
